We have had four times that the candidate the was supported by less one the election:
1876, 1888, 2000. Please don`t get me wrong: I definitely would have chosen George Bush over Al Gore. But here we are talking about what is fair.
What if the American public chose candidate X and our system elected Candidate Y. Is that fair? What would the founding fathers say? At the time of the creation of this process it was great because travel could take months. But with all the technology today it is possible for everyone`s vote to count. If I am a Republican and vote in California, do you think my vote is going to count?
If I am a Democrat and vote in Utah? MY VOTE WILL NOT COUNT!
Is this real democracy?
